Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I reach out?For most international trips, six to twelve months is ideal — and for high-demand experiences like African safaris, Belmond rail journeys, or Antarctica expeditions, earlier is always better. The best camps, cabins, and staterooms go quickly. If you have a trip in mind, reaching out now is the right call.
What if I already know exactly where I want to go?Even better. A clear starting point means more time spent getting the details right rather than exploring options. Bring everything you have — the destination, the properties you’ve been looking at, the experiences on your list — and the work begins from there.
Is there a minimum budget? There’s no formal minimum, but I specialize in trips where the details matter, which usually means a higher price point. It truly depends on your trip. If you’re unsure whether your budget is the right fit, ask. The honest answer is always better than a guess.
Do you charge for the initial consultation? No. The discovery call is complimentary. The planning fee is collected after that call, once both parties have decided to move forward — and before any research or itinerary work begins.
Do you work with small group trips? What if I want to travel on a tour?Yes, I have a selection of partners who specialize in group trips, such as Tauck, Adventures by Disney, or National Geographic.
*There are no planning fees for hotel only or cruise only bookings if you know your property and/or sailing choices.*
Do you work with groups?Yes, absolutely. The planning fees still apply, but I can coordinate group sailings or travels anywhere. Have a reading club that wants to go to England? Let’s do it! Golf buddies who want to explore Scotland? I can plan that.
